Everyone is ABLE to be a Bible Quizzer!
ABLE Bible Quizzing makes quizzing accessible to anyone, regardless of ability.
How does ABLE Bible Quizzing work?
At the beginning of the season, quizzers are given select verses from the Junior Bible Quizzing material. They memorize these verses in preparation for ABLE Bible Quizzing tournaments throughout the season. Tournaments include multiple ABLE Bible Quizzes, where quizzers compete to demonstrate their knowledge of the verses they have memorized.
An ABLE Bible Quiz looks very similar to a Junior Bible Quiz with some modifications
10 Questions Per Quiz: Each quiz consists of 4 ten-point questions, 4 twenty-point questions, and 2 thirty-point questions.
No Fouls: Traditional fouls are not given. Coaches are instead responsible for using breaks or timeouts to manage behavior.
No Interruptions: To give all quizzers at the board an equal opportunity, there are no interruptions due to specialized ABLE Bible Quizzing Software.
Flexible Buzzer Use: With the inclusion of adaptive buzzer forms, quizzers are not required to hold or manipulate a buzzer in any specific way.
Rereads for Incorrect Answers: If a question is answered incorrectly, it will be reread to the opposing team. If they also answer incorrectly, the question is closed.
Additional Rules: There are additional considerations for ABLE Bible Quizzing. Contact your district ABLE director for more details.
